Broccoli Events, December Sessions @ The O2 highlights video
December 2011 saw Broccoli Events put together 16 of the finest bands currently on the UK new music scene on a purpose built stage at The O2 arena! December Sessions at The O2. 100 bands, 20 dates, the biggest free music festival going.
Broccoli Events were brought in to programme and run four of the nights. So as well as booking our top 16 bands, working on the promotion and PR, supplying music and video for the official trailer, the radio ad which was played on XFM and Capital Radio and the December Sessions free download, managing the event, hospitality, photographing the performances, we managed to squeeze in an interview with each of the bands and film them on stage. These are the highlights…
Looking back over the footage we filmed this was an incredible event to work on and we’re looking forward to lots of new and exciting projects we have in store for 2012.

Red N Pink play The December Sessions at The O2 – 13/12/11
So if you have been reading our blogs this week you will have noticed that Broccoli Events are programming and managing 4 dates of The O2 December Sessions.
What is the December Sessions?
It’s only the biggest FREE music festival going with 100 bands, it’s open to all ages and it kicks off this Saturday!!

Our first date is Wednesday 7th December with SULK, Planes (Steve Forrests from Placebo’s new band) Warehouse Republic and Karova, very much an Indie night.
Tuesday 13th December we go more urban with hip hop, indie pop twists. So who are these bands?
Red N Pink, White Powder Gold, SPEAKS, Christina Novelli. We’ll be putting up some blogs featuring each of these bands for you to check out.
So, first up…
With a fusion of, Indie-Punk, Electro-Soul and Hip Hop, the pair have been delighting and exciting crowds across London with their energy-packed live show.

Roots TV now has a Youtube channel – band interviews – music videos & more
We’ve been creating content for Roots TV for a few months now filming band interviews, live performances and playing the ‘Manage, Collaborate, Kill’ game with musicians on the streets of Camden Town!
Until now the videos have appeared on the Roots TV blog but with all the great bands we have wanting to get on the show we have put together a Youtube channel so you can browse through the videos with ease.

New online music show
At Broccoli Events we really feel there is a lack of new music shows in the UK online and on terrestrial TV. We have such a diversity of incredible new talent in this country but where can you go to watch it?!?!
Well now you can go to rootstv and find our monthly online music show featuring live sets, interviews and music videos from our latest favourite bands.
last month we filmed the pilot at our monthly live show Pull Up The Roots at The Monarch in Camden. This months show we feel has taken a large leap forward with our incredibly talented presenters Red N Pink. This months show features live sets, music videos and interviews from The 335, Howlin’ Circus, Soldier and SULK.

New favorite band SULK
We bloody adore Sulk, they are an incredible live band!! We have been following them for a while after they played Pull up the Roots at the start of 2011.
After a break writing new material and recording the beautiful video in Ibiza they are back, but still keeping us all hanging with no tracks online for us to hear, I guess we will all just have to be patient and wait for ‘Wishes’ to be officially released in August with Back in Bloom to follow (our personal favorite).
Front man Jon Sutcliffe was down at Roots to chat about the single with Pink in the garden, interview will be online soon at Rootstv.
