Broccoli Events, December Sessions @ The O2 highlights video
December 2011 saw Broccoli Events put together 16 of the finest bands currently on the UK new music scene on a purpose built stage at The O2 arena! December Sessions at The O2. 100 bands, 20 dates, the biggest free music festival going.
Broccoli Events were brought in to programme and run four of the nights. So as well as booking our top 16 bands, working on the promotion and PR, supplying music and video for the official trailer, the radio ad which was played on XFM and Capital Radio and the December Sessions free download, managing the event, hospitality, photographing the performances, we managed to squeeze in an interview with each of the bands and film them on stage. These are the highlights…
Looking back over the footage we filmed this was an incredible event to work on and we’re looking forward to lots of new and exciting projects we have in store for 2012.

Red N Pink play The December Sessions at The O2 – 13/12/11
So if you have been reading our blogs this week you will have noticed that Broccoli Events are programming and managing 4 dates of The O2 December Sessions.
What is the December Sessions?
It’s only the biggest FREE music festival going with 100 bands, it’s open to all ages and it kicks off this Saturday!!

Our first date is Wednesday 7th December with SULK, Planes (Steve Forrests from Placebo’s new band) Warehouse Republic and Karova, very much an Indie night.
Tuesday 13th December we go more urban with hip hop, indie pop twists. So who are these bands?
Red N Pink, White Powder Gold, SPEAKS, Christina Novelli. We’ll be putting up some blogs featuring each of these bands for you to check out.
So, first up…
With a fusion of, Indie-Punk, Electro-Soul and Hip Hop, the pair have been delighting and exciting crowds across London with their energy-packed live show.

Sulk have got to be Broccoli Events all time favorite band to listen too, watch live and have a drink with. We have all brought every single and cant wait for the album!!

Steve Forrest from Placebo new band Planes to play at The December Sessions at The 02
Steve Forrest, drummer with Placebo, has been making the most of his time off since the band finished the ‘Battle For The Sun’ touring campaign last October.
What has emerged is his new ‘side project’, the band PLANES. Having spent the last few months writing and demoing, Steve then set about pulling together various friends from the scene in Shepherds Bush and Camden to form his new band.
Planes will be live at The December Sessions at 8:20pm on Wednesday 7th December alongside SULK+ WAREHOUSE REPUBLIC + KAROVA.
