PULP PROMO

Not only is Gav starring in the movie as Rick Bean but The Dash track ‘Return to Broomhouse Road’ is going to be on the soundtrack too, very proud we are indeed! Check out the 02 highlights video we created for our event work back in December 2011.

The trailer for PULP – THE MOVIE has had over 1000000 hits, incredible..

‘Tony Leary, the hapless owner of Junk Comics, is gearing up for one last roll of the dice. His new superhero title, The Sodomizer, launches at the International Comic Show. And if life wasn’t complicated enough, Tony is drafted by the police to identify another comic company that is laundering money for a gang of Geordie criminals. Aided by his trusty geek sidekicks, Rick and Keith, Tony must defy the odds if he is to become a real life hero’

The BRIT awards 2012 – who Broccoli would choose…

So tonight is the 2012 BRIT awards held at The 02 in London, we thought we’d go through tonight’s nominees and see who we would choose to win, we all know Adele and Ed Sheeran (boo) will probably win them all, but we can but hope!!

British Male Solo Artist

Ed Sheeran
James Blake
James Morrison
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
Professor Green

Without a doubt Noel Gallagher, love him or hate him the man is a genius

British Female Solo Artist
Adele
Florence & the Machine
Jessie J
Kate Bush
Laura Marling

Do love a bit of Florence, but she is in a band, not exactly a solo artist, you have to give credit to Adele, the whole album isn’t all to my taste but there’s some belters on there, well worth the gong.

British Breakthrough Act
Anna Calvi
Ed Sheeran
Emeli Sandé
Jessie J
The Vaccines

Hmmmm tricky one, none of the acts match really, as long as Ed Sheeran doesn’t win we will be happy, Jessie J has made the most impact so we’d give it to her!!

British Group
Arctic Monkeys
Chase & Status
Coldplay
Elbow
Kasabian

We would give it to Elbow purely for this song!!

Been a fan of Kasabian since the day dot so would be happy to give them the gong too

British Single
Adele – Someone Like You
Ed Sheeran – The A Team
Example – Changed The Way You Kissed Me
Jessie J ft Bob – Price Tag
JLS ft Dev – She Makes Me Wanna
Military Wives/Gareth Malone – Wherever You Are
Olly Murs ft Rizzle Kicks – Heart Skips A Beat
One Direction – What Makes You Beautiful
Pixie Lott – All About Tonight
The Wanted – Glad You Came

Goes without saying really…

MasterCard British Album of the Year
Adele – 21
Coldplay – Mylo Xyloto
Ed Sheeran – +
Florence & The Machine – Ceremonials
PJ Harvey – Let England Shake

I know everyone takes the piss out of Coldplay, but this is a bloody good album

International Male Solo Artist
Aloe Blacc
Bon Iver
Bruno Mars
David Guetta
Ryan Adams

Dont know who half these are, move on….

International Female Solo Artist
Beyoncé
Bjork
Feist
Lady Gaga
Rihanna

Major girl crush, it has to be Rihanna, lucky enough to have worked with her, she’s a lovely girl, gong should defiantly go to her

International Group
Fleet Foxes
Foo Fighters
Jay Z/ Kanye West
Lady Antebellum
Maroon 5

Ive never got Foo Fighters, they seem so dated to me, American rock can bugger off, awards should go to Arcade Fire, i know they are not nominated but bloody hell what a crap category

International Breakthrough Act

Aloe Blacc
Bon Iver
Foster The People
Lana Del Rey
Nicki Minaj

Lana Del Ray -at last something a bit different, shes getting a lot of flak lately, its got to be jealously over those lips!! Broccoli came across Lana a year ago and its great to see her doing so well.

Outstanding Contribution to Music
WINNER:
Blur

Couldn’t agree more, always loved Blur

Well that’s who we’d love to win, all the awards will go first to any of the nominees who have attended the brat school, sorry mean the Brits school 😉

Tune in tonight ITV3 at 8pm

Christina Novelli – December Sessions @ The O2

Christina Novelli played at The December Sessions at The 02 on the Tuesday 13th 2011 alongside Broccoli’s presenters and singers Red n Pink, White Powder Gold and SPEAKS. The girls managed to pull Christina away from hair and make up and on to the British Music Experience route master bus for a quick interview about her trip to LA and her 2012 plans

Broccoli Events were brought in to programme and run four of the nights. So as well as booking our top 16 bands, working on the promotion and PR, supplying music and video for the official trailer, the radio ad which was played on XFM and Capital Radio and the December Sessions free download, managing the event, hospitality, photographing the performances, we managed to squeeze in an interview with each of the bands and film them on stage. These are the highlights…

If you want to keep informed of what we’re up to and receive exclusive invites to free events then please sign up to our mailing list on our website or follow us on Facebook. We have a really exciting event planned for March 27th which will be invite only so don’t miss out!!
