Interview with Proud Mary – December Sessions @ The O2

To work on such a big production that was the December Sessions at The O2 we needed a band with a big profile, we sat in the Broccoli office putting together a wish list of bands to contact and Proud Mary topped the list. So when they came back and said they would play to say we were pleased would be a massive understatement.

The track used on the interview is Proud Mary – ‘Mexico’

An amazing band, lovely people and we’re looking forward to working with them again throughout 2012 on lots of event work we have coming up.

Plus…we have a great video of Proud Mary we filmed whilst leaving The O2…all shall be revealed later in the day!

Karova play The December Sessions at The O2 – 7/12/11

You can catch Karova playing live at The O2 December Sessions on Wednesday 7th December.
For more event information click here.

“Out of London¹s itchy Kentish Town, Karova are the much-needed cockney answer to the Happy Mondays but with less smack and more Stan Smiths.

In a live-band culture severely lacking acts with balls that straddle the string between dance and indie, the seven-piece have recently sought the tightknit production skills of Baby D and are uniting dancefloors across the capital as a consequence.

So far Maxim have called them “the best new band in Laahndan” a “breath of Brandy-flavoured fresh air” and “just fucking good go and see em!” and with new tracks like the excellent Miracles and Rhymes to add to an already thriving backlog such as Jimmy, Nutget and She Said, you do hope there’s a
recroding deal round the corner for ’em.

With a cold can of Red Stripe in its hand.

And no fucking flip flops. They’d hate that.”
